Thank you!!
I am so impressed with Victoria at the Dundas, Ontario, location. She was so helpful and polite, and she was indeed an excellent employee. Shopper’s is very lucky to have her!! Thanks, Victoria!!!
I went to the Shoppers on Davie St, Vancouver, B.C., twice in three days to pick up my prescriptions. Behind the counter, both times, was “Amir,” who was outstanding in all ways. It was a pleasure. Thanks again, Amir.
Absolutely terrible service at shoppers today. I visit the store ( 2748 East Hasting St) to purchase milk; while in that section, I notice President Choice Free Run eggs (large)on sale for $4.99/12. I picked up a cartoon, and while cashing out at the self-checkout, the price came out at $7.69. I asked the staff present at the time to adjust the price because it was wrong. She went to the section where the eggs were and realised that the sticker should have come down. The price was only good for the 28th. I asked her to adjust the price since it was still advertised at $4.99. she refused and said shoppers’ policy has changed, and even though she could do it, she would not. What happens with a customer is right

Melita in the cosmetic department in Georgetown South is always so helpful and nice.
Jaida is A VERY HARD WORKER, AND SHE HELPS YOU WITH ANYTHING YOU NEED TO FIND. SHES is friendly and respectful towards her customers.
Shoppers Drug Mart in Selkirk, Manitoba, is the WORST for refunds when you don’t have a receipt. I bought some cologne and used it once; a few weeks later, I went to use it again, but the bottle wouldn’t spray. I went back to the store, and the cosmetic girl, says I’m sorry, no receipt. I can’t help you. I requested to talk to someone else, and an older lady came. I explained that it’s been about 3 weeks since I checked my Optimium card, and she said we could only go back about 10 days. I requested that a manager call me back, but of course, it’s been a week, and no phone call has been returned. This is not my first time using BAD BAD service, but it is my first time sending in a complaint. Walmart or London Drugs will be my next try, and I will start filling my prescriptions there.
I live in Elliot Lake, and I see people getting upset at pricing their purchases–the fact cashiers only take cash is not good; I am but one person, but I will say if I can’t debit at the cash register with a human, I will take the business to one of other 3-4 drug stores. It is too bad you wanna operate like this; shoppers were a preferred choice, but by the end of summer, I may do like others and boycott as I get upset as soon as others get upset at self-check-outs.
I went to Shoppers on Hespeler Rd in Cambridge, ON, today. It was a very nice store, and I found my items quickly. It was a nice experience.
As I am unable to survey as my receipt was beyond the period allotted, I am providing comments. Over the years, I have received excellent service from 2 employees in the Shoppers Cosmetic Dept. at Grandview Mall in Thunder Bay. Their names are Dawn and Desiree. Both ladies have helped me many times and introduced me to different helpful products. They are friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about existing and new products. It’s always a pleasure to deal with either of them. So, hats off to Dawn and Desiree!
I visited SDM Fredericton on March 29th. I noticed the customer survey option on my register receipt #00316219-7872918 as I was posting it in my bank registry today. When I visited the survey site to enter my comments and enter the monthly prize option, I was disappointed to read the comments “more than 7 days”, disallowing me to enter. As there was no notification on my register slip advising me of the time limit, I was disappointed. Not having an SDM store in my home town of Nackawic, I’ll likely get to enter very often as I may only get to Fredericton once a month. Please update your SDM register tapes to notify customers about the time limit for getting in on monthly prize drawings. Thanks.
Had one of the worst experiences ever at a shopper. I was at the 22nd St. Location in Saskatoon. I went to the till and had a thing of candy in hand. I had the intention of buying a lotto. The cashier asked for cash or a card; I said card. He then immediately left the till with my candy in hand and helped someone at the self-checkout. He then said, come over here. I said, excuse me, I want lotto as well. He then did a huge sigh and sluggishly walked over. I asked him why he did that. He said when you said card, we need to help you over here, and I said, you never asked if I needed anything else; you just assumed I this one thing, and that’s it. He then got aggravated and started to argue, saying that’s what he was supposed to do. He then asked what lotto I wanted, and I said none. I only want this one item here now, and that’s it. He then said that this till was only cash and we needed to do a card over at the self-checkout.
But I’ll do it this one time here. I then said, “This is customer service, not customer arguments. Why are you trying to start something?” He said you are not supposed to do this, and I said you are continuing to be disrespectful, and this is why I didn’t get the lotto.
I then was able to pay and get my receipt, and he continued to argue. He walked away and continued to argue. I said I had everything I needed with this receipt, but I noticed at the top, where the cashier’s name is supposed to be, it said, “Person shopper.” Not his name, Numan. That is very, very not correct.
There was a merchandiser lady nearby who heard everything, and Numan went over there and tried to defend himself to her while still being loud enough for me to hear. She said nothing, and he was just going off. I continued, “This is customer service, not customer arguments.” I then asked what his name was. He refused, threw his arm up in the air, and walked away. I asked the merchandiser to bring me the supervisor.
As I waited, Numan pretended to face shelves and would walk out every few moments to see if the supervisor, Jamie, had appeared. When Jamie arrived, I explained the situation and how I went to the till; he didn’t ask for anything but cash or a card, so he went over there and asked me to come over here. I explained how, 90% of the time, if someone lines up at the till here, it’s for lotto, and how Numan was disrespectful and continued to argue. I explained how this is supposed to be customer service, not customer arguments.
By this time, Numan had made his way back to the till, where I was having this conversation with the supervisor; I had Jamie write down the name of the cashier on my receipt. Numan did not stop, and he started to interject his opinion. He would not let me finish my conversation with Jamie. He then said this is what the manager wants. I asked Jamie if this was what the manager wanted, and Jamie just said yes, letting Newman intervene in our conversation. I had to say it over 5 times: this is customer service, not arguments, yet Numan still fought and started to argue with my partner and I. Jamie stood there like a bus had just hit him, letting this all unfold in front of him.
I finally had to put my foot down and asked Jamie if we had somewhere private to speak, and he said he was; he quickly took us to the back, and I asked for the manager’s name, Janet. I asked why he would continue to do that, and Jamie reassured me that it was completely out of line for him. I told him how, in my experience, that is absolutely out of line. He said he would message his manager right away and let her know about the situation. Just as we finished that, Numan Came into the back, trying to defend himself and continuing to try and argue. We walked away as he yelled his apologies.
Jamie was unable to handle the cashier or the situation. His coming back at the very end shows the staff’s lack of discipline.
I understand it’s a difficult location, but it is not hard to provide good customer service. Employees don’t live at the store; they need to show up refreshed and able for their shift.
I expect a follow-up from Janet alongside the store manager, AJG Enterprises, and Loblaws.

We were behind a senior couple at the Shoppers Drug Mart at 11800 Cambie Road, Rmd, BC, on 09 Apr 2025, around noon. The senior male customer asked the check-out (name-tag Melinda) lady if she was open, and in a shrill don’t-bother-me-tone, she said, “She is busy” when she was actually talking gossip with another employee. The second check-out (name-tag Nancee) lady offered to help the couple pay for the 3-can sale of coconut juice. The couple also wanted to play the 6/49 lottery, but the Nancee lady did not know how to operate the terminal and wanted the help of Melinda, still yakking with the other slacker employee. A sad sack trio of SDM employees, if there was one. The couple left without buying the lottery ticket, which should also interest the BCLC. Thank you.
